eXelate Lends a Hand to Partnership for Parks

Last Thursday, the eXelate team headed out to McCarren Park in Brooklyn for a day of volunteering. Even though the threat of rain ruined our attempt to paint the Vincent V Abate playground, we got the chance to get our hands dirty with some gardening! While some of the team mulched the planters in the playground, the rest cleared out space to make way for new gardens at the entrance to the playground. After lunch we were put to work planting daffodils and clearing weeds at the skate park. Big thanks to the great Partnership for Parks volunteers that helped guide us! We’ll definitely be back to help out soon. Check out all the great stuff Partnership for Parks and the City Parks Foundation is doing. Check out a few pictures below.
